One week, one day until A THOUSAND PIECES OF YOU debuts!

I’m just back from my incredible tour in the Philippines — seriously, huge thanks to everyone who welcomed me and Madeleine Roux, because that was tremendous. And now that I’ve returned, it’s time to look at some of the amazing stuff going on as we lead up to the Nov. 4 release of A THOUSAND PIECES OF YOU! 

First of all, the pre-order campaign is still going on! If you want a signed poster, signed bookplate, and exclusive pins and stickers for A THOUSAND PIECES OF YOU, the time to act is now. I know many people have already pre-ordered, but some stores still have swag packs available. Also — pre-orders are important to a book, particularly one like ATPOY, which is not getting a huge push from the publisher. The print run (first print run, I think, optimistically) is not huge. That’s not as big a deal as it used to be, now that we’re in the age of the e-book; still, if you want a hard copy (and I know some of you do, just for the cover), you seriously need to go ahead and make sure you can get one!

(But I’ve seen lots of buzz about this book, you might be thinking. Isn’t that a sign the publisher is pushing it? In this case, no. The really awesome part of this is that every bit of the enthusiasm you’ve seen out there for A THOUSAND PIECES OF YOU is totally organic. The readers — you guys — are driving this all on your own, which is astounding and wonderful.)

Second, in case you missed it, last week four book blogs unveiled the first four chapters of A THOUSAND PIECES OF YOU! I’ll be posting that excerpt here in a couple of days (and on Wattpad very soon), but if you can’t wait, you can start with Chapter One, hosted by the brilliant Novel Novice (who has also made ATPOY her book of the month for November, so yay!), and follow the links from there. Finally, today my ATPOY launch blog tour began, with my post about why I had to write this book. More posts will follow, about the soundtrack, my very first thoughts on the characters, etc., and plenty of reviews, too. So why not get started now? Plus there’s yet another giveaway, complete with a signed book, a StoriArts scarf and gloves with quotes from ATPOY, and even a candle — and you know, the candle is so cool it’s going to get its own separate post later. That is one great candle. Trust me on this.
