Hey, I got excited when I saw that one of my favourite bookstores out here has 9 copies of Evernight on hand, 8 more on order, and 19 copies of Stargazer on order. 🙂
Congrats! You deserve it. And no, it’s not silly. If I ever wrote a book and saw it there I’d be dancing around like crazy in at home. Heck, if it were the last one on the list, I’d be screaming my head off. :/

congrats Claudia! Stargazer is one of my top three books releasing this year that I am most anxious about (along with Blood Promise by Richelle Mead (Vampire Academy 4) and Hunted by P.C. Cast which fell short of my hopes but was enough to satisfy for a while). I absolutely love the Evernight story and characters and I can’t wait to see what happens next! As for being too excited about its pre-sales, that’s impossible for any writer. (smile) but get ready to realize Amazon is only a symbol of the market. I for one can’t buy new releases online because I refuse to wait for shipping! I want to walk into my local store (Borders or Barnes & Noble) and pick it up NOW! So there’s really no telling how many you’ll really sell your first day!
