Wait – they’re making a movie??

OMG!

And they cast Ian Somerholder??? *sigh* It’s all about the eyes. Okay, so it’s mostly about the eyes.

I haven’t read these in years, but I used to be totally addicted to LJ Smith. That was before the resurgence/rise of paranormal/urban fantasy in both adult and YA fiction. Back when I was working in a bookstore, and one of my fellow employees kept trying to shelve LKH’s Anita Blake books in the YA section, with authors like LJ Smith, because all she saw was “Oh, vampires + vampire slayer = Buffy”. I doubt she would make the same mistake now. 🙂

The CW, huh? Well…it could still be good. Plus, I’d watch Ian playing a really hot anti-hero with smoking intensity any day. The rest of the cast? Who cares?

Okay, so I care about Elena, too. And it would be nice to get good actors for everyone. But I’ll probably only really be watching Ian when he’s onscreen. 😀

Oh, me too! I’m going to date myself here…but LJ Smith came out when I was in high school (back in the 90’s) and I LOVED her books! So I’m excited to see them coming back!

Well, first of all, I didn’t even know that they were making a film about the series!!! KIs it a film, or tv show?
And secondly, Oh My!!! Ian is just…wow…he’s got a face to die for!!! *fangirls*
But you know what’s funny? Everytime I picture Balthazar, I imagine him as Ian or Nate (from Gossip Girl). lol

This is so exciting! (I read the LJ Smith books when first published–back when I was a teen. I still love them because of a serious case of nostalgia.) I can’t wait to see what they do with the material.

This is, after all, not only the network of Buffy, but also of the Winchester Brothers.
